Il rifugio Brentei (nome completo: rifugio Maria e Alberto Fossati Bellani al Brentei) è un rifugio nelle Dolomiti di Brenta, a 2.182 m s.l.m.

Rifugio Brentei is an hut of the Brenta Dolomites, at 2182 m.

Accesso : partenza dal rifugio Vallesinella (1.524 m) –  arrivati a Madonna di Campiglio, seguire per la frazione Palu’ –  si supera il torrente e si sale con pendenze impegnative fino al rifugio Casinei (sentiero 318). Successivamente si continua a salire con decisione per un breve tratto, poi il sentiero si fa più leggero ed anzi prosegue alternando salite e brevi discese fino alla quota di 2.182 m dove si trova il rifugio. L’ultimo tratto del percorso è esposto ma senza difficoltà, a tratti troviamo un cavo di sicurezza , si passa dalla suggestiva grotta dei Pagani, il sentiero è ben battuto, il panorama superlativo.

Access: Departure from the Vallesinella hut (1,524 m) – Arrive in Madonna di Campiglio, follow the Palu ‘section – cross the stream and climb uphill slopes up to the Casinei hut (path 318). Then you continue to climb decisively for a short stretch, then the trail becomes lighter and even goes on alternating uphill and short downhill to the altitude of 2,182 m where the refuge is located. The last stretch of the trail is exposed but without difficulty, at times we find a safety cable, passes from the suggestive cave of the Pagans, the trail is well-beaten, the superb panorama.

Ci siamo regalati questa meravigliosa escursione in un weekend di giugno, insieme alla nostra bimba pelosa Niky, dopo aver ammirato e sognato per anni di poter raggiungere un giorno questo rifugio incastonato in un angolo di paradiso. Questi luoghi ci hanno rapito il cuore, siamo rimasti incantati ad ammirare la maestosità delle Dolomiti, abbiamo chiuso gli occhi per immortalare il momento, fare il pieno di ossigeno, ci siamo ricaricati di energia, tutto il resto l’abbiamo lasciato a valle, eravamo solo noi e la montagna, una sensazione di libertà e benessere che solo chi apprezza la quota puo’ comprendere, l’adrenalina ci scorreva nel sangue, le gambe volevano solo salire sempre piu’ in alto, gli occhi affamati di scorgere nuovi scorci, perchè lassu’ giri l’angolo ed il panorama che ti si presenta ti sorprende sempre di piu’, il cuore batte all’impazzata, la soddisfazione di raggiungere la cima ti resta dentro per sempre, quando rientri dal viaggio niente sarà piu’ come prima, tu sarai cambiato, ti sentirai una persona diversa, rigenerata e libera da ogni peso ed un pezzettino del tuo cuore rimarà sempre lassu’…

Chi sà apprezzare e rispettare cio’ che la natura regala, apprezza fino in fondo la vita. 

 We were given this wonderful hike on a weekend in June, along with our girl dog Niky, having admired and dreamed for years to be able to reach this hideaway in a corner of paradise for a day. These places have kidnapped our hearts, we were enchanted to admire the majesty of the Dolomites, we closed our eyes to immortalize the momentum, fill the oxygen, recharge ourselves with energy, all the rest we left down, we were only us and the mountain, a feeling of freedom and well-being that only those who appreciate the dimension can understand, adrenaline flowing in the blood, legs just wanted to climb higher and the hungry eyes to see new glimpses, because slowly turn around the corner and the panorama that comes to you surprises you more and more, your heart beats with impatience, the satisfaction of getting to the top you stay in forever, when you come back from the trip nothing will be as early as before, you will be changed, you will feel a different person, regenerated and free from every weight and a little bit of your heart will always be slow …
