Nei dintorni di Storo

In un freddo ma soleggiato weekend di metà novembre il nostro bisogno di escursioni in montagna e curiosità per nuovi luoghi da scoprire ci ha portato nei pressi di Storo, che già conoscevamo per le splendide passeggiate nel bosco, sempre incantevole in ogni stagione. Parcheggiata l’auto nei pressi di un bar/ristoro in prossimità della strada principale che conduce verso Pinzolo, la nostra prima tappa è stata la chiesa di San Lorenzo che sorge ai piedi del “doss del Chigol”, presso l’antico percorso montano di collegamento tra la valle del Chiese con Ampola e la val di Ledro. ( era in fase si ristrutturazione percio’ non ho scattato foto dell’edificio) Su questa collina è possibile visitare delle trincee militari conservate in ottimo stato e naturalmente ammirare un panorama che si perde lungo tutta la valle.

In a cold but sunny mid-November weekend, our need for mountain hiking and curiosity for new places to discover took us close to the town ” Storo” , who we already knew for the wonderful walks in the woods, always enchanting in every season. Parked near a bar close to the main road to Pinzolo, our first stop was the San Lorenzo church, which stands at the foot of the “Chigol doss” at the ancient mountain path of link between the valley of the Churches with Ampola and the valley of Ledro. (it was in the process of being refurbished so I did not take photos of the building) On this hill you can visit retained trenches in great condition and of course admire a panorama that is lost throughout the valley.

Percorso un giro ad anello ritorniamo al parcheggio per una sosta ristoratrice al bar, decidiamo poi di proseguire un breve tratto in macchina fino alle indicazioni del percorso etnografico Rio Caino, definito ” Ecomuseo del Chiese, un mondo di scienza, storia e magia” .

(naturalmente l’avevamo gia’ addocchiato passando da questa strada….)

After a round trip we return to the parking lot for a resturant at the bar, then we decide to continue a short car ride to the directions of the ethnographic route Rio Caino, called “Ecomuseum of the Churches, a world of science, history and magic.”

(of course we knew already about thi place as we saw it many time )

Qui è un attimo lasciarsi trasportare dall’atmosfera fatata, il ponte tibetano all’ingresso ci conduce alla scoperta di questo luogo, consigliato a tutta la famiglia. Una leggera salita, qualche scalino, un tappeto di foglie rosse …. Noi non l’abbiamo completato per mancanza di tempo ma ci siamo promessi di ritornare per terminarlo ed ammirare tutto quello che offre: le trincee, il cannone, l’orto delle streghe …

Here is a moment to let yourself be carried away from the fairy atmosphere, the Tibetan bridge at the entrance leads us to the discovery of this place, recommended to the whole family. A slight uphill, some steps, a carpet of red leaves …. We did not finish it for lack of time but we promised to return to end it and admire everything it offers: trenches, cannon, vegetable garden of witches …
