In questo mondo dove la frenesia e la competizione, purtroppo, nutrono i nostri figli già dalla nascita credo che la cosa più importante per un genitore al giorno d’oggi sia proprio educarli “all’arte dei piccoli passi”, ad accettare gli sbagli e a non competere per ogni cosa.

Significa percorrere il sentiero della vita accanto a loro, ma non per loro; aiutarli a scegliere cio’ che li fa stare bene in modo che possano trovare la loro strada da adulti e, soprattutto, senza voler ad ogni costo riempire tutto il loro tempo libero. 

Di seguito una poesia/preghiera di Antoine de Saint-Exupéry che c’invita a riflettere sull’importanza ” dei piccoli passi ” : 

” Non ti chiedo né miracoli né visioni
ma solo la forza necessaria per questo giorno!
Rendimi attento e inventivo per scegliere
al momento giusto
le conoscenze ed esperienze
che mi toccano particolarmente.
Rendi più consapevoli le mie scelte
nell’uso del mio tempo.
Donami di capire ciò che è essenziale
e ciò che è soltanto secondario.
Io ti chiedo la forza, l’autocontrollo e la misura:
che non mi lasci, semplicemente,
portare dalla vita
ma organizzi con sapienza
lo svolgimento della giornata.

In this world where frenzy and competition unfortunately feed our children from birth I believe that the most important thing for a parent nowadays is to educate them “to the art of small steps”, to accept mistakes and to don’t compete for everything.
It means following the path of life beside them, but not for them; help them choose what makes them feel good so that they can find their way as adults and, above all, without wanting to fill all their free time at all costs.
